New Pottery 2015

I'm taking a break from wheel throwing and am totally immersed in pinch pot making, an ancient form of hand building clay.  My pieces are porcelain and stoneware, fired to 2300 degrees.  All glazes are food safe and each piece can be used in a functional way, or for decorative purposes.   Hand making pottery is more time consuming than wheel throwing, but rewarding in every possible way.  Not only is the work more organic in style, but a joy to create!  Not one piece is the same, but original in form and glazing.

Event: Saturday June 21st !  I will be playing my violin for a Fundraiser at Florida Studio Theater with new friends, Kandy and Iain.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Child Protection Center in Sarasota.  Here is the link to sample their music, and buy tickets.

New Acrylic Painting for 2013

This abstract fish painting is for the new CTR Wellness Center in Sarasota.  There will be six paintings total...fish, flowers and landscape.  They will be posted as completed.  Very fun to paint abstract fish!
